Paladin is working with a consulting company in Chicago that is looking for a Sr. Technology Business Writer to join a newly created team within the organization. This role is meant for someone who is passionate about technology, innovation, discovering trends through market intelligence and writing!!

This newly created role that will be in a highly visible position working closely with marketing and strategic growth teams, C-Suite executives and managing relationships with other key stakeholders.


LOCATION: Chicago-Loop (Remote for now, hybrid work schedule is offered post-pandemic)

COMPENSATION: Will commensurate with experience

  • Industry experience in Management Consulting, Professional Services, or Technology as a Content Writer or similar
  • Associate or Manager level (this role will not have direct reports)
  • Key stakeholder management with ability to work closely with C-Suite executives
  • An intense passion for technology and enthusiasm for writing about tech trends
  • Journalism background is a plus, not a dealbreaker


  • Conduct research to uncover market trends and customer insights
  • Be a trusted advisor with a strong understanding of where the market is going
  • Author and publish research-backed points of view
  • Socialize points of views internally, providing data-rich client ready communications
  • Build an internal network, foster relationships to identify new market needs and issues
  • Develop thought leadership and solutions for issues or topics
  • Connect with analysts to assess perspectives and viability of market insights
  • Advise the firm on best practices and decisions related to topics and trends
  • Partner w/internal teams to understand target audience and buyers
  • Write and edit sharp, differentiated, audience-focused content for the media
  • Conduct media-friendly research and polls that generate coverage
  • Align content topics and strategy with business objectives
  • Plan and manage content releases externally and internally in concert with content and communications teams
  • Other Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience with proven success in business and technology writing
  • Stellar writing skills and a specialization in writing for broad audiences
  • Experience working with corporate executives
  • Demonstrated ability with interviewing and ghost-writing skills
  • Portfolio of articles, white papers, reports, speeches, and other content published across multiple channels (print, digital, social, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Bachelors’ degree in Journalism, PR, Communications or Similar
