SENIOR B2B COPYWRITER

One of Paladin’s Fortune 100 client has a great opportunity for a remote, long term contract Senior B2B Copywriter role. Our client is looking for someone who is passionate about their craft and eager to make an impact on the work they do. This individual is experienced within the interactive, brand campaign, and content space; has ideally worked with B2B and B2C tech brands with a variety of tones and voice styles and will ensure exceptional results on copy deliverables.

This position needs someone who is confident as an individual contributor, ready to jump in and take a leadership role when required and embraces collaboration to deliver the best solution. This person is great working with clients and collaborating with our cross functional team. They want someone who cares about the details and generates ideas that push boundaries. This person must thrive in a fast-paced work environment and enjoy working on numerous projects at once.

It is also important that the candidate is comfortable working at both a strategic and hands on level with a proven track record successfully pivoting between the two when necessary. We are looking for a flexible team player with excellent problem-solving skills, and a high-level of comfort handling multiple projects at any one time.

Location: Contract remote work; Flexible on location within the US
Hours: 40 hours/week
Hourly rate can go as high as $42.00
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Initially for 5 months, may extend longer

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinates campaign/copywriting timelines for the client and manage client expectations throughout delivery
  • Leads, manages, and coaches the campaign/copywriting team off-shore with shared focus on growth of existing skillset
  • Collaborates with Customer Marketing Strategy and Planner, Release teams, Client and related Marketing Services teams to ensure successful campaign execution
  • Creates and manages project plans and timelines to deliver marketing campaigns/copywriting  on time; escalate any issues that may prevent on-time delivery
  • Coordinate with Creative & Content Development team and other Marketing Services teams to ensure successful delivery of campaigns/copywriting
  • Manages client and team expectations throughout delivery; manage risk and issue escalations related to the campaigns/copywriting
  • The Client is looking for someone with the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing delivery roles within Direct Marketing, Copywriting Experience Campaign Management, Marketing Service Provider, Marketing Agency, and/or Marketing Operations
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Experience working in various Campaign Management/Copywriting  Tool(s) including building and executing campaigns/copywriting of varying complexities
  • Understanding of leading practices in Copywriting for Email, Product, Event, News and External Communications
  • Understanding of integrated marketing across the entire prospect and customer lifecycle, and how marketing strategy, customer data, segments, channel, creative, content, and offers interact to drive desired business outcomes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate project requirements, communicate project status, and interface with internal and external team members
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to lead across a team of marketing services and campaign execution professionals
  • Comfortable leading a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with rapidly changing priorities and a high volume of projects
  • Ability to evaluate concepts and present recommendations to senior leadership
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with one or more Workflow management tools such as Workfront, Azure DevOps, Jira, Allocadia, Aprimo
  • Direct client-facing experience
  • Master’s Degree
     
  • You must have:

  • Interpersonal skills: You have strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills and the confidence to engage with senior executives
  • Highly collaborative working style: You know how to connects parts of the organization to design communication for maximize impact
  • Writing skills: You will be an excellent writer, editor and proofreader and be able to work in multiple formats (speeches, blogs, talking points, social posts, scripts, etc.)
  • Critical thinking: You will be able to see options and select the most strategic way forward
  • Strong project management capability: Ability to see a project from beginning to end and connect across the firm to obtain required inputs.
