Paladin is working with a global professional services firm to fill a Remote Grant Writer position. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact with your grant writing and management skills. This role will be part of the Tribal Services practice area, supporting tribal governments to secure grant funding for transformative energy and infrastructure project, as well as other critical needs.

 

In this role, you’ll work closely with practice leadership, playing a key role in building a one-of-a-kind grant management function with a leading accounting and advisory firm. You’ll work with the firm’s tribal government client base in an expanded fashion while acting as a catalyst to grow the tribal practice.

 

Position Details:

  • This is a contract-to-hire opportunity that is fully remote
  • Compensation will be hourly - will commensurate with experience
  • Start date is January 2022, period before converting is approximately 3-4 months
  •  

    Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with SMEs on the tribal services team to write, review and edit grants on the client’s behalf.
  • Prepare well-crafted grant application to assist tribal clients in securing project funding.
  • Draft grant templates to streamline work processes.
  • Create efficiencies to simplify grant writing.
  • Submit grants on behalf of clients and follow up with grant agencies for status updates as needed.
  • Collaborate with other team members and SMEs to coordinate, develop and incorporate technical grant content.
  • Coordinate larger team efforts around 3-4 key grant programs which clients apply for annually.
  • Monitor grant opportunities and inform clients of future grant opportunities.
  • Participate in strategic planning process around grant opportunities.
  • Partner with internal managers to determine applicability of grants to existing client base.
  • Maintain and update database of grant opportunities applicable to clients.

  • Support grant compliance to ensure all legal requirements are followed.
  • Monitor specific grant record retention protocols.
  • Ensure timeline reporting, develop report narratives, and complete required documentation.
  • Handle all grant writing assignments with confidentiality.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree required
  • 3-5 years of writing/editing experience that includes grant writing
  • Excellent writing, analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for internal team and external client communications
  •
