Our client a midsize, national logistics company is looking or a Content Manager to join their newly created marketing team. This person will handle all things related to content: creation, calendar, agency relations, blog post, SME articles, etc. This role has exposure to senior leadership and will work cross functionally with the business development team. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and own content marketing calendar with new planned resources each month to drive brand awareness, build B2B credibility and generate leads (ebooks, case studies, infographics, guides, checklists, templates, brochures, etc.).
  • Manage blog with consistent article planning and creation to increase visitors and organic visibility
  • Expand social presence (specifically focused on LinkedIn), improving engagement and growing followers
  • Create and maintain website content by leveraging SEO analytics and analysis
  • Provide email content for campaigns focused on customer and client acquisition
  • Generate content for print marketing campaigns
  • Assist in managing contracted content writer, PR agency relationship and related content development including featured articles, press releases, earned media and award submissions
  • Engage with internal and subject matter experts in supporting new content creation
  • Be a champion for stakeholders, escalating issues when necessary and demonstrating flexibility when needed
  • Qualifications, Skills, Traits and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent
  • 3+ years of B2B-focused expertise in creating full-funnel content for building converting pipeline
  • Prior B2C content creation experience
  • Exceptional writing skills with proven ability to generate leads
  • Strong on-page SEO copywriting experience and expertise in SEO editorial best practices 
  • Knowledgeable in research tools and web CMS platforms (such as WordPress)
  • Exemplary communication skills and clarity of thought
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively and opportunistically
  • Comfortable with web navigational structures and page taxonomies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
  • Skilled at communicating through a variety of mediums with many different audiences and objectives
  • Demonstrate a high degree of grit, perspective, intellectual honesty and professionalism
  • An organized self-starter who is always eager to learn something new
  •
