A full-time, Content Editor job is now available through Paladin in the Gilbert, AZ area. To be considered for this role, you should have spent time in an Editor or Marketing Manager role within a high volume, print and/or digital publications agency/company. As the Content Editor, your primary responsibility is to ensure superb editorial quality across a broad range of content deliverables and distribution channels. We also expect you to be a stellar writer and editor, and to understand the business value of great editorial in today’s content marketplace. If you are a detail-oriented fact-finder, who is ready to apply your creative skills, then this is the job for you!

Additional Responsibilities of the Content Editor include:

  • Editing, lots of editing! Writing could be a part of the role, but editing is your first love. You understand the different levels of review: you know how to dial up with suggestions, keep it light with minimal track changes, and improve a piece’s overall structure
  • Review writing big and small: case studies, white papers, emails, blog posts, infographics, and landing pages for our variety of clients
  • Consistency is key: copy, capitalization, font sizing, colors, bullet styles give you a sense of peace
  • Guide content from initial assignment, through editing and production, to final edits, working seamlessly with the cross-functional team members
  • Work closely with Account Services to create the highest levels of synergy between editorial services and account management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience as a writer in a deadline-oriented environment, preferably in advertising, marketing, public relations, social media, or journalism with a solid portfolio of work including content development across a wide range of marketing communications
  • 3 years of editorial or content creation experience
  • Excellent writing and editing skills tuned to creative writing and thinking is a must
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Consistent, highly detail-oriented, and well organized
