Paladin is recruiting for a full-time Social Media/Community Manager in Santa Monica, CA.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating content and creating a weekly social media post schedule across their social media channels. You will also be responsible for social media copy writing and creating customized messages to match audience(s). Overall, the ideal candidate must be able to implement the company’s social media strategy- which is to provide informative posts educating followers about the brand while having fun! In addition, you must stay on track with KPIs to increase online presence and increase overall sales efforts.


An ideal candidate should have a broad knowledge of the digital marketing world and actively be engaged on all major social media platforms – Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter. You must have excellent communication skills and put the company’s brand and interest first. You should love contests, selecting winners, and following up with packages full of free product(s) and love!


The person in this role will receive a course into customer service in order to learn the essentials to keeping customers happy.


A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Publicity, Advertising, or Marketing (but not as a content creator, graphic designer, and/or talent) may be considered for this position. The ideal candidate should have significant experience on the business part of the marketing spectrum.


This position will need to be in the office 4-5 days a week after the training period. Remote work is possible, but will be limited to 2-3 days per week. DO NOT apply if you live outside of CA.


Job duties:

  • Oversee daily social media management for all platforms as a community manager with an emphasis on the engagement portion (replying, commenting, liking, etc). The more interaction with the followers, the better!
  • Create the best content (photos and videos) shared across all social media platforms to build filshare with formatted assets that adhere to the brand guidelines.
  • Work with C-suite executives to create content (fly kill shots) on an as needed-basis. Note – you WILL NOT be actually shooting content, you would be overseeing/producing content creation that falls inline with the brand vision and voice
  • Use Sprout to schedule and execute approved organic and branded social media posts
  • Maintain relationships with other social media influencers and handles in a professional and brand-worthy manner
  • Manage and oversee giveaways and content from inception to awarding prizes to winners
  • Collaborate with all departments. Be able to provide constructive feedback on sentiment and marketing trends
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and share with the rest of the team
  • Present weekly social media reports on organic and paid metrics as well as customer/fan sentiment

  • Required qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher, or equivalent experience required
  • Expert on Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, TikTok and any emerging platforms
  • Must be Facebook certified (Blueprint Certificate) or willing to obtain it within first year of hire
  • Understanding of e-commerce and marketing funnel concepts
  • Strong understanding of marketing and social strategy as well as an eye for new business opportunities
  • Excellent customer service skills; effectively interact with customers to maintain brand and sales profile
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and willing/able to work on weekends as social media does not sleep!
  • Must be a self-starter and reliable with the ability to work independently
  • Good team player who puts the team first!
  • Be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Experience with setting up social media calendars
