Paladin is working with a packaging company that is looking for a stellar individual to join their team as a Product Development Associate/Analyst. This team is small and mighty so you will have access to everyone in the organization and collaborating on a daily basis.

 

 

 

A few must-haves:

  • You are incredibly analytical and confident in your detailed research and presentation ability
  • You are able to make decisions confidently work cross-functionally with other teams
  • Technical: CRM experience (they utilize zoho - that specific sector is not required but exposure to CRM is a must)
  • Location: near Cary & Crystal Lake, IL (must be within driving distance)

    What is this role all about:

    You will be developing and presenting products into the company's line while pricing, coordinating specifications, and curating information for existing products.

     

     

     

    Day-to-day:

  • Facilitate professional product photos for use on sales flyers and the website.
  • Manage the qualification and development process by overseeing product testing.
  • You will participate in the design process of new parts which includes brainstorming with the team, verifying the designs, visiting new suppliers, and determining their capabilities.
  • Responsible for managing product development process that includes distributed product offerings, requesting samples, sourcing suppliers, and pricing (United States, Europe, and Asia).
  • You are someone that takes initiative, has impeccable time management, overly organized, and has confidence in their ability to grow within the organization.
  • Create handbooks and keep the product library up to date.
  • Manage the process for obtaining quotes for new molds from tool makers and part suppliers and presenting detailed spreadsheets to the team.
  • Support and collaborate with the sales team by creating RFQs and calculating prices/lists for custom products. Present findings to teams in meetings utilizing PowerPoint.

    Education and Professional Background:

  • Bachelors in Business, Marketing, or Product Development preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in Marketing, Merchandising, Purchasing or Sales Administration required in Packaging, Industrial Consumables in a b2b environment
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations preferred.
  • CRM required, MS Office Suite (including strong Excel and PowerPoint experience).
  • Website, Digital, marketing experience preferred
