I’m working with an iconic brand that is looking for an Associate Product Manager to join their small in-house marketing team. If you have experience or an interest in food, this could be the place for you! This role will be highly visible and will give you the chance to own your projects and gain valuable experience in the food industry.

 

We’re looking for someone who has a good eye for detail, is highly proficient in Excel, able to proofread materials, and has outstanding project management skills.

 

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Associate/Specialist (2-6 years)

SALARY: Will commensurate with experience

LOCATION: Park Ridge, IL

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Create RFQs for products, detail design, construction and material attributes to secure initial product pricing from vendors.
  • Quote packaging and print collateral pieces with domestic and overseas vendors and research new sources for packaging and components when necessary.
  • Collaborate with production and shipping on testing new products.
  • Facilitate communication between various departments within the organization regarding products and programs.
  • Run analysis when necessary to determine product viability.
  • Research competitive landscape, identifying key price points, features, benefits and differentiating factors, conducting retail audits as necessary.
  • Manage and input data into product spreadsheets, including but not limited to: item numbers, descriptions, components, pricing, etc.
  • Prepare mock-up samples and comps for sales meetings and approval reviews.
  • Proof packaging and other marketing collateral pieces.
  • Assist in the development of wholesale sell sheets, presentations and associated sales materials.
  • Pack samples for airings and customers as needed.

 

Requirements:

 

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business or similar discipline.
  • 2+ years of business experience, ideally in marketing and/or product and CPG (food or beverage will push you to the front of the line)
  • Experience working with an ERP system is a plus, but not required.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
