The Marketing Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting with the coordination of the daily activities and execution of the direct marketing fundraising program. This may include direct mail, telemarketing, and direct response television fundraising.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the daily planning, scheduling, and execution of direct marketing campaigns (including but not limited to: appeals, acquisition, lapsed reactivation, monthly giving, and non-fundraising solicitations) across various channels including direct mail, DRTV, and telemarketing
  • Review statistical data relating to direct marketing programs for acquisition, retention, and reactivation of donors to assist with strategy development and determine campaign success
  • With the assistance of the internal mailing Content Manager, collaborate with vendor partners on campaign development including reviewing and providing edits and obtaining approval on content, package creation, copy, and design
  • Provide marketing assistance to internal stakeholders (Membership Department and Auxiliary, CST and NSF for fundraising and membership appeals)
  • Participate and contribute in the creative process involved in making improvements for campaign production (new tools/applications)                 
  • Ability to train and learn all aspects of Direct Marketing as determined by  management
  • Assist Director of Direct Marketing with additional marketing and fundraising programs as requested
  • Involvement, as needed, in activity related to trade associations, consumer advocacy, postal, and government agencies 
  • Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding of direct marketing
  • A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or equivalent is preferred
  • Possess strong administration skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and accurate manner
  • Analytical skills are preferred with a working knowledge of statistical information/data
  • The position requires marketing and creative experience aptitude
