We are working with a Portland, OR consumer goods company to recruit a Marketing Automation Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for serving as a marketing automation expert, executive campaigns and planning efforts on the digital side, including conducting testing and segmentation efforts, and ensuring content and collateral is on brand. You will get a chance to dive deeply into the data, reporting and analytics world, so this role is great fit if you lean more analytical than creative. You will get a chance to support other digital marketing efforts as needed! To be a fit, you should bring a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the marketing automation or email marketing world. Experience with one of the big four automation platforms (ideally Marketo or Pardot, but also open to Eloqua or Hubspot) is absolutely required, including experience with testing, audience segmentation, scheduling and more. Other digital marketing or creative experience is a plus! This is a tactical, hands-on role, so you should also be ready to get your hands dirty and dig into email and digital analytics. 

This is a permanent, benefitted position working for a great brand with local roots. Pay ranges from $55,000 to $70,000 annually, depending on experience level. This is a permanent role with a full benefits package, and while it will start remotely, candidates should be local to the Portland, OR area or ready to relocate on their own to the area. 

You will:

  • Own marketing automation enablement work, coordinating daily activities in the platform to ensure the customer marketing program remains on schedule
  • Coordinate planning for campaigns, working with creative teams and agency contacts to ensure email content, creative and templates are on brand
  • Ensure testing, segmentation and other strategic automation efforts are aligned pre-deployment
  • Support integrated digital and creative marketing teams in optimizing campaigns, reviewing ROI and analytics to maximize customer engagement
  • Work with cross-functional internal teams to support other marketing efforts, including web content optimization, social media support and similar, as needed
  • Your profile should include:

  • 2+ years of marketing automation or digital marketing experience with in-depth knowledge of any of the major automation platforms (with a preference for Pardot or Marketo)
  • Bachelor's degree, strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with other digital marketing tools, including CMS platforms and HTML/CSS (strongly preferred)
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to communicate campaign successes, ROI and other data-measured marketing results with executives, team members and agency partners
  • Experience optimizing digital content for SEO best practices, strong preferred
