Paladin is seeking an innovative and experienced Marketing Automation Manager with an automotive company to join its shared services team. This is a full-time, 100% remote role that reports to the Director of CRM Marketing and is responsible for the ongoing design, coding and deployment of email campaigns, SMS campaigns and associated landing pages.

This is a highly collaborative position and works with the Brand Marketing Teams, CRM Marketing Managers, Data Architects, and Data Analysts to translate business objectives into actionable solutions.

The CRM Marketing Automation Manager must have experience managing all elements of email & SMS campaign builds using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including audience segmentation, development of dynamic content and HTML coding of responsive emails & landing pages. They will tenaciously manage quality assurance (QA), such as count verification, proofreading, editing, correct usage of required naming conventions and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring all campaigns are executed efficiently. Once messages are deployed, the position is responsible for monitoring derivability and analyzing campaign health metrics.


  • Develop and maintain email calendar with the Marketing Brand Teams to track and schedule messages.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan, build, execute, monitor and improve companies marketing automation workflows in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Engage in strategic discussions to understand the target audience, campaign goals, program frequency, and overall creative approach.
  • Lead technical aspects of ad-hoc and automated email marketing initiatives to include building email templates, dynamic content, responsive design, segmentation, QA, UAT, scheduling, deployment and campaign analysis.
  • Perform ad-hoc impact analysis, create and deliver metric reports using technologies including (but not limited to) SQL, Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau.
  • Establish track record of data-driven, hands-on marketing automation efforts.
  • Create email proofs for review for each campaign, build and segment user lists that meet the prescribed business goals, and create and manage AB and multivariate testing within campaigns to ensure we are building programs based on data and continually optimizing campaign performance.
  • Understands adheres and adapts to privacy laws applicable to email marketing in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Understand and identify target audience segments by leveraging external tools and platform segmentation features, such as filters, queries and automations.
  • Actively use reporting tools to analyze campaign effectiveness/delivery and make recommendations for improvements.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, marketing research, computer science, analytics or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of marketing automation experience in a B2C retail, service or agency environment with demonstrated results designing and building email marketing campaign journeys and automations, managing email templates, and other administrative tasks.
  • Familiarity with all phases of email production: design, code, approval, list segmentation, QA, launch.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools such as Journey Builder, Audience Builder, Automation Studio, Cloud Pages, Email Studio, Contact Builder is preferred (equivalent experience with Adobe, Oracle Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, Marketo etc.)
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, SQL and AMPscript development.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist and Marketing Cloud Consultant certification preferred
  • Experience navigating relational databases with Advanced SQL coding skills required
  • Knowledge of Testing and Optimization best practices (A/B testing, multivariate testing).
  • Superior project management skills, must be highly detail oriented and organized
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to navigate ambiguity and successfully complete complex projects
  • Excellent data analysis skills and expertise with Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
