We're partnered with a local Portland, OR outdoor products brand to recruit an eCommerce Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. Our client is a popular brand in the Portland area, and has a thriving ecommerce function, selling on their own site an in a variety of consumer channels. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily maintenance, support and sales of the company's ecommerce channel. You will serve as a connector between sales and marketing teams, optimizing product posts on internal and channel platforms, running promotions, accurately representing product information and sharing relevant content (descriptions, photos, etc.) to drive product sales. This is a multi-faceted role great for you if you have 2+ years of ecommerce and digital marketing experience! Technical skills are crucial, and to be a fit, you should bring experience with corporate content and ecommerce management systems (Shopify, Magento, etc.). Experience working with channel (Amazon, Walmart, etc.) ecommerce partners is highly preferred. Experience in the outdoor industry is highly preferred, and working with consumer products is a must. 

This is a permanent opportunity with an exciting brand, great for those passionate about the outdoor industry themselves! Our client is looking for a long-term fit and will provide a comprehensive benefits plan (including 100% paid medical premium), 401(K) matching, PTO and paid holidays. Plus, this role will be paid hourly, so you will be eligible for overtime if you're working more than 40 hours per week. Pay is highly competitive, ranging from $23 to $27 an hour with flexibility for the right person. This role will be remote to start, but will go back into the office when safe. We are only considering Portland-area locals at this time. 

A typical day in this role will include:

  • Managing the company's internal ecommerce site, including launching and uploading new products, ensuring accurate specs and postings, and serving as the main point of contact for site administration
  • Serving as the liaison between ecommerce channel partners and the company, managing product postings, launches, promotions and general presence on partner sites like Amazon, Walmart, etc.
  • Partnering closely with marketing, creative and sales teams to ensure products are optimized with photos, content, specs and pricing data, among other details
  • Representing the company's digital marketing needs in general, constantly learning and sharing best practices in the ecommerce and digital space, including new ideas for promotions, SEO, channel optimization and more
  • Supporting other areas of the digital marketing, sales and ecommerce function, as needed
  • You should bring the following to the table:

  • 2+ years of ecommerce experience in a corporate and/or channel environment
  • Experience with digital marketing best practices, including bringing expertise in SEO, spelling and grammar, campaigns and promotions
  • Experience in the outdoor industry, highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Excellent technical aptitude, with experience in CMS (WordPress, etc.) and ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, etc.) required
  • Experience working with ecommerce channels including Amazon, Walmart, etc., highly preferred
