Paladin is working with a growing company in the consumer products industry that touches on both B2C and B2B. They’re expanding their marketing team and are looking for an experienced eCommerce Manager. This role is both strategic and tactical, so you must be hands-on with your experience. If you’ve only delegated to others who have executed for you, this won’t be the role for you.

Their ideal candidate will have a background in account management/selling emphasis who understands the ins/outs of key major accounts like Amazon,, etc. who can develop joint business plans with key customers, manage senior customer relationships and lead customer business reviews both internally and externally.

Must-Haves for Consideration:


  • Digital content strategy / eCommerce merchandising and digital asset strategy
  • Experience working with Amazon, Walmart or similar retailers
  • Knowledge of product pricing, inventory, distribution, and working with brokers
  • High level of planning skills with the capability to develop tolls such as annual plans and forecasts that incorporate sales and marketing input.

Daily Responsibilities to Include:

  • Develop joint business plans with key customers (Amazon,,, etc.), manage senior customer relationships, and lead periodic customer business reviews both internally and externally.
  • Be deft in navigating potential channel conflicts of online vs. brick & mortar as well as creating alignment between the two. 
  • Provide leadership for the management of customer .com businesses to optimize traffic and conversion and maximize customer experience through effective content display merchandising, navigation, search functionality, and product presentation.
  • Own the full P&L for the eCommerce business; review and craft strategic plan to execute.
  • Evaluate current state; build and develop as necessary (process, capabilities, resources, etc.).
  • Provide and establish a strategic and operational cross-functional collaborative rhythm with customers, internal partners, and external representatives.
  • Lead eCommerce channel sales strategy and serve as the eCommerce channel, account and category subject matter expert.
  • Be a margin driver who thinks through a category management lens and is thoughtful around assortment and pricing, specific to each retail partner; not trading pure volume for profitability; pulling levers for margin accretive growth.
  • Review monthly channel results, reporting to management on account and channel sales performance, making recommendations when changes are necessary to drive improved results.


Core Competencies & Experience:

  • BA/BS in Business Administration or similar degree.
  • Minimum of 7years of work experience in branded Consumer Products.; Minimum of 5+ years of relevant eCommerce management experience including directly with Amazon.
  • In-depth understanding of eCommerce business models, marketplaces and how to drive eCommerce sales; Amazon experience mandatory.
  • Strategic commercial acumen; strategic sales leader who can prioritize opportunities and balance resource allocation across channels.
  • Has mastered cross-functional partnerships; works with key business leaders to identify KPIs to track and evaluate business success; influencing skills highly developed.
  • Deep experience in supporting the development and execution of specific online retailer-owned marketing and advertising programs; experience successfully and effectively managing budgets and investments. 
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities as evidenced by a track record of finding feasible solutions to complex problems, especially in an environment with incomplete information and tight timelines.
  • Solid analytical skills inclusive of a high degree of intelligence of translating data into action plans.
  • Sound communication skills with intent to educate and influence management and staff to act in the best interest of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Resiliency and the courage to maintain a professional and positive attitude when faced with obstacles and the willingness to develop alternative approaches to overcome them.
  • Bias for action to make strong, quick decisions and the ability to take direction to drive the interests of the business while still maintaining highest levels of rigor and compliance.
  • Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy of all creative assets, linking, promotions and product attribution for sites and within areas of focus.
