Web Developer

This position is 100% Remote!

This role will focus on front-end development and WordPress theme development. The ideal candidate will have experience managing discrete projects and the ability to juggle multiple client projects and deadlines simultaneously.

    Responsibilities:

  • Front-end and back-end development of WordPress websites
  • Custom development of plugins and themes as needed
  • Performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of website errors
  • Management of dedicated WPEngine hosting service
  • Maintenance and upgrades of legacy and externally developed WordPress websites
  • Participate in team and client meetings
  • Conduct WordPress client training
  •  

    Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years experience in a web developer role
  • Mastery of HTML5, CSS3, PHP, JavaScript
  • Demonstrated ability to build fast, clean, effective WordPress sites
  • Proficient with creation of custom WordPress themes and plugins, when the project allows for customization
  • Proficient with carefully selecting, configuring, and deploying a suite of high-quality third-party themes, plugins, and tools, when that approach is required
  • Proficiency with implementation of technical SEO best practices
  • Proficiency with implementation of WCAG-compliant accessibility best practices
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Creative thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Drupal is a plus
