Our client is a global personal health and wellness company brand that is seeking to hire a Social Media Manager in the Kansas City area.  We’re looking for a savvy social media content creator, strategist, and trend watcher to own these platforms and strengthen the brand’s presence in the social media space. You should be a creative leader with strong digital marketing experience and a desire to join a growing company that is expanding into new international markets!

What you will do:

  • Handle all aspects of the brand’s digital media programs including, but not limited to: social media, influencer efforts, websites, SEO/SEM campaigns, content for e-Commerce platforms and digital advertising.
  • Lead the online community efforts and growing social channels into new global markets; run organic as well as paid media campaigns
  • Create new content, develop the editorial calendar, work with partners/influencers on cross-promotions, and monitor trends/opportunities
  • Track all agreed performance metrics and make reports to management.
  • Ensure consistent high quality and up-to-date websites and content.

What you need in order to be qualified:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, Business Administration or other relevant area
  • 5 years’ or more professional experience (can include internships) in social media and digital marketing within an agency or in-house marketing department
  • In-depth understanding of multiple social channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn; knowledge of each platform's audience expectations, usage and differences
  • Ability to track, update, report and present data to other marketers in addition to non-marketers
  • Strong understanding of SEO/SEM platforms, particularly Google and analytics tools
  • Proficiency with technology and automated tools (Hootsuite, Sprout, Salesforce Social Studio) and Adobe (Photoshop and InDesign)
