We have an exciting opening for a Marketing Manager in Chicago with hospitality experience in restaurants, fine dining, hotels or similar. Our client owns and operates several local and national quick-serve and fine dining restaurants, many of which are very well-known with celebrity investors and partners.


We’re looking for someone who can feel at home working in an entrepreneurial setting where you’ll be working with busy chefs and operational stakeholders, be comfortable changing direction quickly and shifting gears when needed without getting derailed.


This is a great opportunity for someone with lots of ideas that can also make plans on how to execute; be able to roll up your sleeves to do what needs to be done and in return, you’ll get a good amount of autonomy in your role with room to grow upwards and out!  


LOCATION: Chicago-West Loop (will need to be in office 2-3 days/week)

Responsibilities: The Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and executing marketing programs to increase restaurant traffic, brand recognition and revenue. You’ll develop and manage PR activities, events, promotional programs, ad campaigns and digital content strategy for social, email and websites).


  • Oversee in-store collateral/design development, execution and implementation for deliverables such as menus, signage, check presenters, direct mail, etc.
  • Ensure consistent brand identify and voice in the marketplace and across all channels (email, social, PR, website, ads, in-restaurant collateral and 3rd party sites).
  • Manage guest relationship management strategy, leveraging technology to provide methods to monitor and interact with guests.
  • Establish benchmarks and ROI targets for all marketing functions, report on promotional effectiveness and adjust tactics accordingly.
  • Develop internal teams to represent restaurants or the home org at public events and participate as necessary.
  • Identify, direct and manage partnership relationships with restaurants and chefs for special appearances and/or interview requests.
  • Be the liaison with 3rd party and branded relationships.
  • Oversee charitable partnerships.

    Must Have Requirements:

  • 3+ years of marketing experience including traditional and digital tactics with heavy emphasis on digital
  • Hospitality experience is a MUST, with preference for fine/casual dining, hotels, or similar (fast-food not ideal)

    Good to Have:

  • Basic understanding of WordPress, marketing automation, analytics and MS Office
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong self-initiative
  • Able to seek out answers, be proactive in some of your own learning/training
  • Be comfortable working with chef and busy restaurant operations contacts who you may have to nudge to get you what you need and figure out how to get what you want; how to get the on-board and buy-in
  • Don’t get derailed by changing direction quickly and shift gears when needed
