My client is a B2B distribution company located in Buffalo Grove that’s looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist specializing in PPC and SEO (PPC being the higher priority).

 

You’ll be the resident in-house expert on all things PPC. You’ll be involved in preserving and developing traffic, orders, revenue and ROI from paid and organic search channels. You’ll be taking on strategy, execution and reporting for all paid search campaigns, working towards maximizing the returns achieved on a granular, keywords basis.

JOB TYPE: Permanent/Direct Hire

HOURS: Full-Time/40 hours

LOCATION: Buffalo Grove, IL

COMPENSATION: Will commensurate with experience

Responsibilities to Include:

  • Share insights and report metrics on key KPIs towards the goal of further growing the search environment and improve ROI.
  • Implement paid SEM strategy and campaigns to delivery site traffic and exceed eCom order goals.
  • Write PPC ads that drive eCommerce orders and fully own paid search optimization and ROI maximization.
  • Monitor performance, test and optimize ad copy, extensions, audiences and landing pages for SEM campaigns based on best practices and data.
  • Pace daily spend towards budget, optimize bids, and manage campaign expenses while achieving monthly goals.
  • Regularly perform thorough keyword research for campaign and ad development.
  • Monitor KPIs including CTR, bounce rate, revenue and cost/conversions per campaign on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Prepare and present reports regularly with clear recommendations.
  • Expand and grow A/B testing roadmap to execute strategies and report on results.
  • Quickly identify poor performers, remove them from campaigns and provide alternative approaches to achieve order goals.
  • Suggest improvements for process and productivity optimization.
  • Stay updated with the latest SEM/digital marketing trends and best practices.
  • Ensure campaigns run efficiently, on-schedule and within budget.
  • Maintain strong communication with stakeholders on progress and performance.
  • Research and analyze competitor ads and develop strategies to outperform on a keyword level.
  • Grow overall visibility in SERPs and drive productive incremental traffic to the site.
  • Perform keyword research to identify content gaps and opportunities to develop ideas for new content for SEO.
  • Track and manage keyword rankings and maintain details records of results.
  • Perform regular site audits to determine opportunities or issues; develop a plan of action to tackle both.
  • Review new product pages for SEO and provide feedback to content writers.
  • Analyze keywords and SEO techniques used by competitors.
  • Stay updated on latest SEO strategies as well as algorithm updates.

 

TO QUALIFY:

  • 3-4 years of experience in paid and organic search.
  • Deep knowledge of Google Ads platform.
  • Strong knowledge of Google’s organic search landscape and ranking factors as well as knowledge of strategies to grow and maintain organic search rankings.
  • Experience with A/B testing and other testing methods including reporting and analysis of data/metrics.
  • Proficient with Google Analytics or similar analytics tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel.
  • Deep knowledge of SEM strategy and tactics with proven track record of success.
  • Bachelors’ degree in marketing, business or similar discipline
  • Good Ads and/or Bing Ads certified is preferred, but not required.
