Paladin is working with a European-based B2B manufacturing company with a North American corporate office in a suburb near O’Hare with a new opening for a Digital Marketing Manager to join their team. We've placed two people with this firm including the person hiring for this position. We're excited to be partnering with them again! 


The Digital Marketing Manager will have two direct reports who are responsible for content development, media planning and execution for all channels (digital and traditional). Your responsibility will be for the overall development of digital and content marketing strategies.

Working closely with marketing leadership including a global marketing team overseas, you’ll help set the marketing strategy and manage the budget. This role will be approximately 15% strategy and 85% execution.

Location: Suburb near O’Hare (hybrid in/out of office during COVID, on-site after COVID)

Salary: Base + Bonus

  • Recent B2B experience is an absolute must, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Recent people management
  • Strong content marketing background with a focus on lead generation
  • Very strong project management skills
  • Hands-on experience and expertise with digital advertising
  • Google Analytics, Google Ads, use of Project Management software, Drupal or other CMS usage


  • Construct short/long-term strategies to drive lead generation activities
  • Recommend new strategies, campaigns, projects and tactics to grow online and general marketing presence
  • Research/identify trends in the industry to impact the growth of digital marketing/sales
  • Manage the lifecycle for the digital marketing roadmap regularly reviewing capabilities and recommend changes to executive management
  •  Serve as administrator for CRM platform
  • Maintain budget for marketing technology tools
  • Develop marketing content strategy in concert with Product and Marketing Communications to support product introductions and overall brand awareness
  • Identify appropriate media partners, develop editorial relationships and negotiate placement terms/conditions
  • Manage vendor relationships e.g. agencies, freelance content writers
  • Manage the development of content calendars
  • Maintain and improve the usability, design, content and conversion for web properties based on best practices and analytics
  • Develop, execute and manage integrated digital marketing campaigns
  • Measure/report monthly performance for all digital campaigns and asses against ROI and KPIs
  • Develop programs to drive engagement and report on key social media channels
  • Create an approach to evaluate and leverage paid media opportunities
  • Ensure brands are being used consistently and correctly in all communications including use by external partners
  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS (Good to have skills):

  • BA in Marketing, Business or related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in digital marketing or related field with B2B experience
  • Data driven mind set with strong analytics experience
  • Any experience with agile marketing concepts (ability to be nimble)
  • Any eCommerce experience is a plus, but not required
  • Any experience with mobile advertising, especially geo-targeted


  • Marketing automation platforms (HubSpot CRM preferred)
  • Google Ads

  • Web-based project management tools
  • MS Office Cloud proficiency (advanced Excel)
  • Content Management System (Drupal, WordPress or similar)
  • Social media automation tools i.e. Sensible, HootSuite or similar
