*This role is open to remote candidate located in the continental United States*

Paladin is working with on our growing logistics clients on a search for their newly created Digital Marketing Director. This role will report directly to the VP of Marketing and share in responsibilities of managing the growing marketing department. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of all-encompassing digital marketing experience with 3+ years of people leadership.


  • Lead and manage digital marketing workflow across marketing team.
  • Create, develop, and lead the Affiliate marketing channel from the ground up.
  • Vet and manage traditional media, outside vendor, and agency partners.
  • Work cross-functionally with web development team to keep web collateral up to date.
  • Enforce and build strategic alignment across team members.
  • Co-led the SEO strategy and aid in its deployment.
  • Develop the digital brand image of the company.
  • Assess ad performance and offer optimization through ad retargeting and look alike retargeting efforts.
  • Establish and report on market efforts KPIs.
  • Create and deploy LinkedIn and Facebook ads.
  • Work to align multiple stakeholders around common organization goals.
  • Education:

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
  • Requirements:

  • 8+ years of all-encompassing digital marketing experience.
  • 3+ years of people leadership and workflow assignment.
  • 3+ years of developing and leading the affiliate marketing channel working with CJ, Sharecell, Pepperjam, etc.
  • 6+ years of SEO experience either strategy or hands on execution working with MOZ, ScreamingFrog, Aherfs.
  • 6+ years of deep Google Ad Words experience either strategy or execution working with SEMRush.
  • Strong experience with WordPress is a must.
  • LinkedIn and Facebook AdManagers are a must.
  • Prior Saleforce experience is a must, Salesforce Marketing Cloud huge plus.
  • Prior experience with B2B, B2C, and Direct eCommerce is a must.
  • Working knowledge of HTML
  • Working experience with marketing automation platforms needed but can be either Marketo, Pardot, or Eloqua. Pardot is preferred.
  • Strong in-depth knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • Prior experience working in the Logistics area a plus.
  • Prior experience working for a Private Equity firm a huge plus.
  • Previous vendor/agency management
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Previous experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or OracleBI a plus.
  • Previous brand management experience is preferred.
  • Pay Range:

  • $110-$140k + 10% bonus
  • Work Hours:

  • Client is located in Chicago but is open to people working either East Coast or Central time as a preference.
