Paladin has partnered with an award-winning Marketing and Communications agency located Downtown Chicago to add a full-time Senior Account Planner to the team who will work on the agency’s newest account, a major beverage brand.



  • Bring the consumer to life for both the client and the agency; being the consumer’s champion so that brand work is seen as authentic and culturally relevant.
  • Interpret cultural and social trends for use as the focal point for briefs that will guide creative, digital and social teams.
  • Work cross-functionally and collaborate with external planning partners to convert data into insights and those insights into business-building creative ideas.
  • Track and analyze the client’s competitive positioning, using both secondary and primary research (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Create visually engaging presentations that tell a story drawn from data.


  • 4+ years of account planning experience
  • Ability to identify customer insights and help develop strategy for integrated marketing communications (creative, digital and social).
  • Ability to make complex subjects understandable, and equally adept at analytical and creative thinking.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills are critical.
  • Experienced in briefing creative teams and presenting effectively to clients at different levels of seniority.
  • Ability to pull and interpret quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Ability to use data to articulate compelling stories and persuasive presentations.
  • Enthusiasm about and passion for new products and technology.
  • Prior quick-service restaurant or retail experience is highly desirable.
