International law firm has an opening for a Marketing Coordinator to support the Finance practice groups. This position is located in New York City.

Responsibilities

The primary role of the Marketing Coordinator is to assist assigned practice group lawyers and marketing colleagues with effective and integrated execution of marketing activities that support the firm-wide business development goals and strategies. This role is focused on supporting the marketing and business development activities of the practice groups in the firm’s Finance Business Unit, including Banking & Finance, Structured Finance, Real Estate and Restructuring groups that work closely collaboration with the Marketing Managers responsible for these groups. Additonal responibilites include:

  • Assist on all marketing and business development initiatives for finance practice groups. 
  • Track and communicate practice group initiative deadlines and status. 
  • Maintain databases of marketing activity including managing attorney outreach for deal database collection.
  • Coordinate research, analysis and monitoring of financial, technological and demographic factors in support of new market opportunities for leveraging service offerings. 
  • Maintain quality control to ensure all marketing collateral, communications, etc. are consistent and concise. 
  • Under supervisor direction: 
  • Assist with all aspects of internal and external marketing events and industry conferences, including coordinating and liaising with outside vendors.
  • Update and keep current practice group collateral material on all available sources, including client, prospect and industry dossiers, the Website, practice group Portal pages and Proposal Center.
  • Coordinate detailed league table submissions and various legal directory submissions.
  • Assist and support all members of the marketing and business development team.
  • Coordinate and draft internal practice newsletters and coordinate with lawyers and marketing team on external client announcements/alerts.
  • Maintain various firm systems and communication vehicles (Internal blogs, Website, Portal, InterAction, Foundation, ServiceNow and Proposal Center, among others) for finance practice groups.
  • Requirements:

  • Degree in marketing or communications a plus or equivalent work experience.  
  • One to four years of experience in a law firm preferred. 
  • Excellent writing and communications skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. 
  • Maintains high level of attention to detail.  
  • Highly productive, flexible and can handle stress. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals with diverse personalities and differing opinions.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team.
  • Able to coordinate multiple projects while prioritizing work assignments. 
  • Builds rapport well among M&BD team and lawyers and exhibits good listening skills.
