We've partnered with a global sportswear and apparel retailer headquartered in Beaverton, OR to recruit for multiple Instructional Designer roles focused on creating exciting and engaging employee learning experiences in an exciting new function within the organization. You will be responsible for supporting this technical team in creating training content and experiences, including modules, video, audio, etc. You will work cross-functionally with subject matter experts and trainers to collect information and ensure content is understandable for all employees of the organization. To be a fit, you should bring 3+ years of instructional design experience, have excellent LMS skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate in a project-driven environment. Advanced education or additional experience is highly preferred, as you will work with complex content and a variety of projects and subjects. These are contract roles and candidates should be local to the Portland, OR-area, as this office will open back up for a part-time onsite (2-3 days a week) schedule in Beaverton. Pay ranges from $55 to $65 an hour, based on experience.

You will:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop, migrate and optimize mobile learning modules for all company employees, focused on complex technical and data-driven work 
  • Translate complex technical information for non-technical audiences, working with thought leaders to understand and rewrite complex subjects to educate all team members
  • Utilize templates and standards for efficient development and a consistent end-user experience, focusing on creating engaging multimedia content 
  • Produce high-quality work that adheres to relevant standards and style guides
  • Manage and prioritize workload to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Share industry best-practice knowledge employee engagement strategy
  • Your experience should include:

  • 3+ years of instructional design experience, ideally with experience working on training content for highly technical or analytical subjects
  • Bachelor's degree, required; Advanced degree in a relevant field, highly preferred
  • In-Depth understanding of adult learning theory
  • LMS proficiency, required
  • Additional experience in design, preferred
