Paladin is seeking a skilled a Press and Media Coordinator for a mission-based organization in Washington, DC. In this role, you will be tasked with writing and publishing press releases, mailings and news reports for the organization, pitch new campaigns, create targeted media lists, media research on local and national issues pertaining to the organization and additional assigned duties. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors in a communications, journalism or a related field, at least one to two years of public/media relations experience, experience working with advocacy campaigns/organizations, strong writing abilities and time management skills.


  • Writing press releases, mailings and news reports on behalf of the organization
  • Pitch new campaigns and events
  • Create targeted media lists
  • Perform media and policy research locally and nationally


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, PR or a related field.
  • One to two years of public/media relations experience
  • Experience with advocacy related campaigns
  • Strong writing and editing abilities
  • Ability to manage time effectively
