Public Relations Manager

Paladin is seeking a full-time public relations manager in New York City.  Our client is looking for a PR professional with 5+ years’ experience in the architectural sector to manage in-house public relations and events. The PR manager will oversee external communications and events, reporting into the team leader, while leading a team of in-office/on-site team members.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement external communication strategy, image, audiences and tactics, including press releases and information for the media
  • Manage in-office activity/assignments, monitor and mentor team of 2-4 team members
  • Communicate effectively with the public
  • Oversee relations with multiple event vendors
  • Identify and designate appropriate spokesperson(s) or information source for media inquiries
  • Conduct deal making sessions
  • Manage budgets and forecasts for all programs, controls expenses and complies with budgets
  • Any and other duties assigned
  • Requirements/Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism, or equivalent work 
  • MBA/advanced degree in communications a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in events and tradeshows
  • Well versed in external/in-house PR and communications
  • Strong work ethic, communication, and leadership skills
  • Well-versed in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task and lead in a fast-paced environment
  • Compensation

  • $80-85K, based on experience
