We are looking for a Communications Specialist, with 1-2 years of agency experience to step in for a contract assignment in Downtown Los Angeles. This role will involve creating social awareness and managing quality control with through media outlets.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and establishing contacts with reporters, producers and editors
  • Research national and local media outlets to spread awareness for the organization
  • Write media pitches and articles
  • Sense of urgency overseeing quality control
  • Analyzing Key Messaging
  • Ensure brand consistency in all marketing efforts
  • Report on PR campaigns’ results
  • Manage sensitive issues to maintain company’s reputation

Qualifications:

  • Well versed in quality control
  • Substantial work experience as a Public Relations or Communications Specialist role
  • Proven experience writing newsletter and press releases
  • Expertise in various social platforms, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Strong Key messaging skills
  • Ability to champion effective relationships with key industry relevant executives

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or Related Field
