Vice President - Marketing - Non Profit Experience

Paladin Atlanta is partnering with a national Non Profit organization that is hiring a Vice President of Marketing

The VP of Marketing is responsible for the direction of the association’s promotion and outreach strategies for programs, services, memberships, and media. Responsible for cost-effective strategies to help maximize revenue and other benefits to support program and organizational development.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Oversee brand positioning, social media strategy, marketing data analysis and marketing calendar.
  • Draft, edit and manage the design and production of all marketing and promotional materials.
  • Support Corporate Partner Development team by engaging on partner conference calls and in meetings, producing the annual report, and developing the conference demographics brochure, partnership guide and other sales-related collateral.
  • Manage the positioning of the organization's media assets and track royalty sales. Spearhead all media outreach and responses, including press events.
  • Draft and edit press releases, media advisories, website content, talking points, fact sheets, and other internal and external communication materials.
  • Cultivate existing and new business partnerships that improve profitability, enhance brand, expand market presence and provide value-added services.
  • Work in conjunction with IT team to ensure appropriate and timely communications via emails, social media and website updates to the homepage and conference micro-site content.
  • Manage and engage support for any crisis communications with the President & CEO.
  • Identify and engage corporate partners and VIP’s through sponsorships, special events and other cause-related marketing opportunities.
  • Consult regularly with the President & CEO; provide input on organizational strategy from a communications perspective that provides actionable insight.
  • Serve as an active part of the senior management team.
  • Lead and develop team members; effectively coordinate with external marketing firm and resources.

  • Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional leadership in marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7-10 years job related experience required in marketing and business development.
  • Must be an excellent writer with experience in writing a range of communications materials.
  • A detail-oriented self-starter and hands-on strategist who will develop and oversee the execution of initiatives from start to finish.
  • Able to advise management in all aspects of communications strategies and tactics.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and manage relationships with designers, printers, photographers, agency and other vendor partners.
  • Commitment to the mission and work of the organization with the credibility and persuasiveness to convince others to support the organization.
  • A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality. A team player who is committed to organizational success and lifelong learning.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism and accuracy; excellent organizational, planning, research and analytical skills; effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Windows, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; Internet and Social Media Savvy.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Former Vice President of Marketing within a Non Profit Organization
  • Experience in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors is ideal. Agency experience a plus.
  • Masters Degree in Marketing, Business or another Professional field
