Paladin has a Public Relations Manager job available through one of our clients here in the Phoenix, AZ area. We are looking for an outgoing, internet savvy networker to build and cultivate meaningful relationships with executives across industries.

This individual must be confident collaborating with executives and providing key recommendations on personal PR strategy. They will build trust and report, present alternative perspectives as needed, and maintain well-established connections. Key Responsibilities of the Public Relations Manager:

  • Collaborate with founders/executives and key leaders to guide, develop and execute personal PR, brand image and media strategy
  • Create professional-level press releases, media relations content, executive bios and social media content
  • Seek out and manage requests for new PR opportunities, social media and media interviews and speaking events
  • Develop and execute communications strategy with and for key contacts and customer references
  • Build and foster tradition media and social influencer relationships that generate brand awareness, brand mention and opportunities for engagement
  • Event coordination to ensure activities are well executed and provide briefing details to others in attendance
  • Provide talking points and act as primary liaison to journalists, general public, etc.
  • Respond to media inquiries as needed, pitch story ideas to magazines, radio shows, and newspapers and develop public relations content on social media, website and other materials

Requirements & Qualifications to be considered for the Public Relations Manager role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English/Journalism, Public Relations or related field
  • At least 7-10 years’ experience in personal PR and/or related publicist work
  • Experience in PR and brand awareness strategy creation and execution across traditional and social media platforms
  • Ability to effectively build trust and guide a high-profile executive
  • Highly confident and articulate communicator; able to present recommendations in an organized and professional manner
  • High intellectual capacity to manage external relationships ranging from government officials and dignitaries to the general public
  • Ability to create targeted messages for appropriate personal brand exposure via strong journalistic writing
  • Build and maintain well-developed relationships with journalists in the areas of interest: fashion and apparel, golf and philanthropy
  • High level of integrity and sound judgement; Remains calm and focused under pressure and anticipates needs to provide solutions
  • Ability to be discreet in evolving situations; understands importance of “protecting” the founders/executive’s interests
  • Having a track record of philanthropy
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends and open/willing to travel (domestic and internationally) as needed
