We are excited to share a great opportunity for one of Paladin’s long-standing Fortune 100 client. They have an immediate need for a People Communications Specialist with strong program and project management skills for a long term, remote, contract opportunity.

The People Communications contractor at the specialist level develops and executes communications for Risk Management & Quality communications that support the achievement of the function’s specific business objectives and Client 2025 vision and strategy.

Acts as champion and advocate for client common communications messaging, guidelines, branding, and architecture. Ensures that messages are communicated accurately, timely, and reinforce both Risk Management & Quality’s business objectives and Client brand positioning.

Executes integrated communications programs directed to Risk Management & Quality employees and other Client audiences (risk practitioners). Oversee content and message development, production, promotion, and measurement. Communication programs include appropriate mix of multiple digital internal and social media channels and may include limited print material development.

Role requires collaboration and coordination with the Risk Management & Quality People Communications lead and the Risk Management & Quality Change team.

It is also important that the candidate is comfortable working at both a strategic and hands on level with a proven track record successfully pivoting between the two when necessary. We are looking for a flexible team player with excellent problem-solving skills, and a high-level of comfort handling multiple projects at any one time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provides communication support including writing, editing, digitally posting and distributing all operational, program and organizational materials required, managing message distribution and lists, and developing and executing communications plans and specific deliverables as necessary.
  • Works on program-specific activities, including managing the development and implementation of communication plans and strategies.
  • Provides task-based support as needed. This may include creating and editing draft materials, listening to leadership calls and summarizing the discussion, researching and posting information and articles on organization sites, Portal, KX, Team sites, Circles, Stream and other client internal sites.
  • Coordinates and supports various employee communications using a wide variety of traditional and digital communication and collaboration channels.

  • The Client is looking for someone with the following:

    Basic Qualifications:

    Work Experience: Minimum three years of communications experience; good proficiency in writing and editing with both Associated Press Style and Chicago Manual of Style guidelines.

    Education: Bachelor's degree

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic communications mediums preferred,
    Adobe Creative Cloud a plus.

  • Writing skills: You will be an excellent writer, editor and proofreader and be able to work in multiple formats (speeches, blogs, talking points, social posts, scripts, etc.)
  • Critical thinking: You will be able to see options and select the most strategic way forward
  • Strong project management capability: Ability to see a project from beginning to end and connect across the firm to obtain required inputs.
