Paladin’s Phoenix, AZ office has a Marketing Director job available through one of our clients; a leader in the medical professional liability insurance industry. The Marketing Director will direct, supervise, and train the marketing staff, as well as oversee all marketing functions. This role will have a primary focus on strategy and implementation of new business development through direct marketing, as well as retention of existing accounts. This individual will also be a key figure in building, retaining and growing strategic relationships with appointed insurance agencies.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field of study
  • 5+ years experience working in the casualty insurance industry, preferably in medical professional liability (holding title in sales, marketing or underwriting)
  • 3+ years supervisory experience with a proven track record to positively motivate, challenge and mentor employees
  • Product knowledge within the professional liability arena, preferably for medical professional liability
  • Knowledge of direct and broker distribution models
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Dynamics CRM
  • Experience interacting with high-profile accounts
  • Professional-level oral, written and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Insurance agents license in Arizona and expansion to other states as necessary
  • Ability to travel over night as needed – 20% of the time

Key Duties Include:

  • Lead strategy development of Marketing plans to support company goals, reporting results to executive teams as needed
  • Supervise, train and mentor the Marketing staff
  • Creation of marketing brand collateral across print and digital channels, alongside creative and communications departments
  • Manage communications flow for clients including professional negotiation and advising
  • Work cross-functionally with departments to determine opportunities to differentiate products and services from competitors
  • Ensure consistent training between Marketing and Underwriting departments on coverage forms, rating rules and guidelines
