Position Objective

The Marketing Manager will drive market share through creative branding driving customers to action in both business to business and business to consumer marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly focused on the customer experience, data-driven, and an innovative marketer. He/she must understand that marketing is both an art and a science and have equal parts affinity for data and good storytelling. The marketing manager will collaborate with the CEO and Director of National Sales in executing the company’s B2B marketing strategy and programs (internal/external branding, lead generation, advertising/sponsorships, events, digital marketing) in order to support the company’s business objectives. Collaboration with an array of cross-functional team members and external vendors is essential to increasing marketing's contribution to revenue. This position requires a candidate with a blend of strategy, technical, creative, analytic and project management expertise.

 

Position Functions:

  • Lead integrated B2B marketing campaigns and programs to build market share in the K-12 market.
  • Collaborate closely with your counterparts in acquisition, account management, CRM, and sales to drive retailer leads throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Manage the Retailer inbound site experience, continuously updating content and optimizing to grow new leads and convert site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and offers
  • Build out and support annual events strategy, including trade shows and digital events for the Company in the retailer space.
  • Initial development of and plans for digital assets and future strategy formulation.
  • Own the Retailer sales toolkit, continuously optimizing and refreshing content and materials and leading the development of communications such as email, sales decks, print assets.
  • Continuously monitor, analyze and report out on all B2B marketing efforts, identifying opportunities for optimization and brainstorming new and creative growth strategies
  • Develop pricing at an acceptable profit margin while maintaining competitiveness
  • Assist in the development of sales literature and collateral.
  • Develop and perform product training for internal and external team members.
  • Responsible for marketing materials for new product launches
  • Continually update and maintain an exceptional level of product knowledge
  • Manage Pre and Post trade show marketing activity.

    Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years marketing experience with minimum of 3 years of experience directly managing B2B Digital Marketing programs with proven ability to deliver consistently strong measurable results
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing, MBA preferred but not required
  • Excellent Computer skills with Excel, Word, Powerpoint, database, and digital marketing experience
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Strong Presentation skills with ability to influence key decision makers
  • Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Ability to think ahead and plan over a 3-9 month time span
  • Proven track record managing marketing pipeline generation, including managing campaigns from concept to ROI analysis
  • Strong analytical skills; including experience reviewing performance results and making recommendations for future actions
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Dynamic, motivating, and entrepreneurial-minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and deadlines. Proactive mentality with curiosity and desire to learn.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects, ability to meet deadlines, and strong attention to detail
