We are working with a Portland, OR healthcare organization to recruit an Internal Communications and Content Specialist to join their internal compliance team on a long-term, contract basis. This is a fully remote position for candidates based in PST. You will be responsible for managing a variety of HR, compliance and regulatory documentation writing projects, with a focus on editing and updating existing content. You will also support content creation, editing and optimization efforts for internal training and instructional design content. To be a fit, you should bring 3+ years of internal communications and/or training content experience with readily available work samples. Experience with Sharepoint is required, with Adobe Creative Suite and LMS experience a major plus. 

Our client does great work in the PNW healthcare community and there may even be opportunity for remote candidates local to the Portland, OR area to be converted to permanent employees. For now, this is a 40 hour/week, W2 contract, set to sit fully remotely on a traditional PST schedule. Pay rate varies based on relevant experience between $30 to $38 an hour. 

You will:

  • Develop, write and edit internal communications and training materials for use in a variety of mediums, including training modules within their LMS, intranet updates, compliance materials, SOPs and similar
  • Further this department's efforts in compliance and regulatory affairs through cross-functional communications and content creation
  • Own content and communications projects from concept to completion, working closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure content and materials are on-brand, accurate and compelling
  • Support the department's communications efforts across other projects, as needed
  • Your experience should include:

  • 3+ years of internal communications, training content development or similar writing experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in writing, communications or similar required; Master's degree preferred
  • In-depth understanding of Sharepoint communications; Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and/or LMS platforms, highly preferred
  • Experience working with HR, compliance and legal teams to develop regulator content, highly preferred
  • Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills
  • Experience with instructional design and/or adult learning theory, preferred
