We are partnering with a Beaverton, OR global sportswear leader to recruit a Design Operations Manager for a 1+ year contract. We're looking for an expert organizer with a penchant for day-to-day operations in a creative environment. You will manage relevant systems and processes, support team members and run the company's design studio. This is a great opportunity for anyone with experience supporting or leading operations work in a creative environment! To be a fit, you should have relevant operational and project management skill with a strong understanding of creative work and processes. Pay ranges from $30 to $35 an hour, depending on experience. 

You will:

  • Serve as Chief of Staff to the Design Director
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the studio
  • Implement existing templates and tools to drive design process results
  • Develop plans for achieving key dates and deliverables
  • Establish and foster strong cross-functional relationship with Product Management, Development, and Merchandising partners
  • Foster a high performance team and studio by executing process excellence and driving synergy across Product, Color and Materials design functions
  • Work closely with Ops Director to ensure all policy and procedures are properly implemented for design teams
  • Ensure adherence to deadlines and deliverables both for design teams and for downstream and upstream partners
  • Manage design team budget including monthly reporting to Finance
  • Partner with Design Director to create inspiring, motivational and educational experiences for design teams to support team building and creative exploration
  •  
    Your profile should include:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting or leading projects and operations in a creative studio or agency environment 
  • Bachelor's degree in design or a relevant field
  • Excellent operational skill with an understanding of or background in design work
  • Experience interfacing with cross-functional or executive teams
  • Excellent project management skill
