Paladin Chicago Candidate
Web Content Manager/Editor
Available For:
All types of positions.
Ideal Position:
My ideal position would be a mix of editing, writing, and web work, with the opportunity to put my design sensibilities to use.
I prefer nonprofit work, but an engaging corporate job is every bit as promising to me. A strong group of coworkers makes all the difference to me - when you're working with a group of people you click with, it's almost impossible to not succeed. That can happen in a small workplace, or in a team environment in a larger setting.
Past Experience:
I've done a broad spectrum of editorial work for print and the web: proofreading, copyediting, content management, page design, and more. I've also worked in radio for years, and know a lot about digital audio production. These experiences ground me in several areas, all of which are crucial to productivity in today's digital marketplace.
Currently:
At my current assignment, I've worked with a team of designers, developers, and content managers to rebuild existing websites for departments of a large nonprofit. I've rewritten copy for the web, redesigned user interfaces, created site maps and new information architectures, created user surveys, and written analysis reports on their results.
Additional Notes:
Learning new skills and putting them to work is without a doubt my favorite part of any job. It's probably why I've enjoyed contract work so much - everywhere I've been, I've learned something new, and been able to integrate that into my existing skill set. Every assignment I work makes me a stronger employee, and I look forward to what's ahead.
