Sports, Entertainment & Real Estate Marketing Pro with Corporate Experience
Available For:
Long-term Contracting, Short-term Freelance, Consulting, or Direct Hire.
Ideal Position:
I am seeking a position where I can leverage 25 years of energy & experience in real estate, sports, entertainment and tourism marketing, creating new revenue streams via sponsorship, sales & branding initiatives. I want to blaze management trails, apply innovation and creative direction for winning campaigns, lead and motivate teams of like-minded marketing professionals, and have fun.
My ideal environment is one which promotes interaction, visioneering and respect for every level of communication and input. One which leads, rather than follows. One which places a premium on experience. One which bravely faces adversity and doesn't blink. And one which recognizes the social impact of the pleasure industry - sports, entertainment, tourism and real estate.
Past Experience:
I have past experience in association management, large ad agencies, and direct sales success.
I currently own a marketing consulting agency specializing in real estate, tourism, sports & entertainment. Accomplishments include boosting client sales, bringing national exposure via network television events, and creating innovative new media/interactive programs.
Currently:
Currently, I am organizing a regional sports commission from scratch, bringing together private and public stakeholders for a 2009 launch. Additionally, I manage local and regional events for a popular home improvement TV show. I have pioneered real estate marketing plans in a backwards economy, created a pro bono firm for non-profits, and led "green" marketing initiatives for the real estate industry.
I epitomize the essence of "transferable skills,” having worked in a variety of settings. As an entrepreneur, I appreciate the measurability and value of actually turning a profit. I both take direction well and lead well. I see things differently and am open to breaking some rules when the reward outweighs the risk.
