Senior Marketing Director with Corporate, Not-for-profit and Agency Experience

Ideal Position:
I'm seeking a cohesive relationship with a progressive organization open to exploring untapped  opportunities. This would be a senior level position, strategic and tactical, to include managing, planning, creating and executing integrated marketing/sales initiatives.

The ideal work environment for me is one where I am interacting with a melange of personalities in a semi-structured, creative, but productive space. I work best in environments that have a general openness though it's important that I have my own office for me to work privately. I am even-tempered and amiable to work with in most environments.

Past Experience:
As Editor and Publisher, I founded, developed and operated Houston's premiere lifestyle publication targeting affluent women in Houston.  As Marketing Managing Director, I initiated, produced and supervised large marketing campaigns, partnerships and sponsorships for transient and permanent museum exhibits at a local history museum.

I am a highly visual, highly communicative person who sees marketing/communications and media strategy in every experience. I am FULL of functional ideas and love being surrounded by creative and talented people who grasp concepts, tactics and implementation more than anything. I value and respect grasping and psyche of creative marketing.

Currently:
I have served as the founder, Editor/Publisher of Houston's premiere African-American lifestyle magazine for the past 5 years. There I successfully led a staff of 15-30 in the branding, production, and strategic marketing campaigns. My experience is inclusive of mass marketing, journalism, and public relations. My expertise is in branding and strategy.
