Past Experience:
I have worked as a Proofreader, Editor, File Indexer, Staff Writer and Foreign Language Instructor. My duties included editing and proofreading manuscripts, page proofs and typeset galleys; proofreading trilingual marketing packaging materials; proofreading collateral and printed educational materials; and ensuring correct index term placement.
Currently:
In my most recent role as a Proofreader, I proofread printed educational materials (first pass through final PDFs) for textbooks for grades K-8 for the publishing division of a premier printing company as part of its Quality Control department. This included reviewing math, science, language arts and literature copy to be placed in textbooks.
I am in excellent health, and enjoy French conversation, walking for fitness and reading the newspaper. My portfolio is available upon request. I have learned that success is not measured by experience or awards received but by determination and diligence.
