Public Relations/Communications Specialist with Corporate Experience

Ideal Position:
My ideal position is within a corporation doing public relations and corporate communications. I am interested in a range of roles including event planning and marketing as well. I would enjoy working at a law firm or financial or professional services firm.

I prefer a corporate, organized culture. I enjoy being part of a dynamic team with a fair amount of interaction with my colleagues. I enjoy getting to know people at all levels of an organization, something that communications and public relations positions often provide the opportunity to do.

Past Experience:
My past experience is in a corporate communications department where I have served both the communications and public relations function. I have written extensively, both for PR purposes and for internal newsletters and executive announcements.

Currently:
I currently do public relations and corporate communications for a subsidiary of a Fortune 20 company. In my current position I work with the financial media, organize employee events and manage community outreach programs and relationships between our company and certain non-profits and agencies. I also work on an employee publication.
