Ideal Position:
My ideal job will make the best use of my talents, skills and expertise. I need a challenging position -one that
makes me WANT to go to work in the morning. I will also need to respect my co-workers and colleagues by
participating in an enjoyable organizational culture. I've learned over the years that it's not just the job, it's the people, too.
Ideal Environment:
I enjoy working independently without a lot of supervision insomuch as I also thrive in a team-based environment. It really depends on the corporate culture. Since I've moved often in the past, I have learned to adapt easily to a new environment rather quickly and adeptly. I hope my next position will offer the chance to grow and excel.
Past Experience:
My past is intricate and challenging. I have worked in all levels of communications, PR and marketing within a variety of sectors. My former life with the U.S. government imposed mandated moves every 2-3 years. I've learned to be resilient and how to overcome ambiguity. From social media to digital marketing and even stage acting -I've done it all!
Currently:
I work for a not-for-profit trade association as the head of my department for all of North America. The role is highly visible, requires transparency and a high degree of creativity. I encourage others to be team players in a highly-siloed organization. In many ways, I am the glue that provides coherency to the various programs/projects.
Additional Notes:
I'm living in NYC and have firm roots here. I wouldn't be looking for a new position if my current employer wasn't moving their offices out of the metro-area.
