Ideal Position:
I love to use my talents doing something that is purposeful to me, with an organization that helps people improve their lives, or provides entertainment to the public. The specific type of work (writing, editing) is less important to me than finding meaning in what I do. I have a variety of ways I can contribute and am open to anything. I enjoy working independently, either off site or through minimal supervision on site.
Past Experience:
A former marketing professional, I went freelance in 2006. Since then, I've edited two books, had articles published, written an award-winning short film script, penned executive speeches, and published my own personal growth audio book. In 2008, I was lucky enough to win a scholarship to the Key West Literary Seminar in creative non-fiction.
Currently:
I've been freelancing as a writer -- and now a publication editor -- at a direct sales company for about 18 months now. It's a company of 900 corporate employees with a huge outside sales force. I work with great people! Ultimately, this company helps people gain freedom and control over their lives, so I am helping people live their dreams!
