Ideal Position:
Ideally, I would like to begin my return to corporate life directing the marketing communications and/or public relations efforts of a progressive, economically healthy organization within almost any industry. I enjoy being hands on so it would be nice if the job included a strong tactical component in addition to management.

I thrive in a company that fosters an open style of communication and one that can make light of itself from time to time. Preferably, it would not have many layers of bureaucracy and procedures, but values hard work, dedication and commitment to a job well done. I would also like to stay somewhat close to home, but reverse commutes work too.

Past Experience:
I have pretty much always been in marcom or PR, either on the corporate side or the agency side. I have worked for fairly small companies and for very large corporations. I have done almost everything under the marcom/PR banner...materials, advertising, events, websites, press tours, etc.

Currently:
For the last few years I decided to work from home while my son was still little. I have worked most recently as a freelance writer for a variety of clients, as well as managing an e-business that promotes my father's bestselling books and DVDs for the new home industry.

I have an extensive portfolio that shows the range of projects I have been personally involved in creating, directing and bringing to completion. I have also written all types of brochures, press releases, newsletters, newspaper articles, and web content. I am a proficient strategist and project manager.
