Marketing Communications Professional with Corporate and Not-for-profit Experience

Ideal Position:
I am seeking a communications management position -- either external or internal -- where I can utilize my breadth of skills doing a variety of work in a team environment. I am skilled in writing, presentation development, collateral, strategy, web, graphics and more.

I thrive in a collaborative team environment where you are encouraged to go out and tackle the challenges of each day, but have the warmth and support of your team to see you through. I don't need much oversight as I am hard-working, self-sufficient, and highly ethical.

Past Experience:
My significant experience in Fortune 100 corporate communications roles includes technology and insurance/financial services companies. I have been in Communications Manager positions for 5 years and served in marketing analyst and creative services manager roles previously.

I am very creative, with a good sense of humor, and have excellent judgment. I relate very well to all levels (including upper level management) and learn extremely quickly, whether it is product information or new software tools. My preference is for direct hire positions, but I will look at good temp to perm or contracting opportunities.

Currently:
For the past 2 years I have worked at an insurance company, where I created a variety of internal communications for our sales force on behalf of multiple product partners. This work included executive communications/presentations, dedicated partner support, surveys, team management and mentoring, and working with IT to develop new tools.
