Ideal Position:
I would love to work in a corporate or agency setting that would leverage my public relations and journalism expertise, ideally as a Senior Account Executive or Corporate Communications professional, elevating a client's visibility and positive public reputation via traditional and emerging media.
My ideal working environment has a balance of team work and autonomy. I love soundboarding ideas off colleagues while still owning my projects. I strive for any environment that rewards innovation and great results.
Past Experience:
I have written internal and external communications, in addition to grant writing and business development proposals. My business portfolio contains electronic and print direct mail appeals, proposals, presentations, newsletters, brochures and web/interactive content. Additionally, as a budding journalist, I have successfully pitched and written several published culture features and profiles--both locally and nationally--in the last few years.
Currently:
Currently, I freelance full-time as a PR practitioner, grant writer and journalist. In any given week, I can be submitting several grant proposals to benefit children with disabilities, interviewing subject matter experts to write articles for trade and consumer media publications and researching and targeting media for client placement.
