Ideal Position:
My ideal position is a high-level creative designer / illustrator, with good communication and direction, some flexible hours.
Ideal Environment:
A casual, collaborative work environment works best with me and my broad range of skills. I avoid office politics or the backstabbing that sometimes comes with high-pressure offices. Good direction and communication are essential, and I pay thorough attention to detail, often catching mistakes or problems that might have otherwise lead to problems.
Past Experience:
I've worn many hats, ranging from directing projects all the way through and providing all services, to specialized art such as product development, copywriting, marker comps, patent drawings, die cuts, and architectural illustration.
Currently:
Product development and packaging - conceptual product sketches, technical illustration for overseas development; Coaching and consulting client on features, package design and layout, die-cuts, and currently developing a second-generation version.
Additional:
Freelance is great, but without an artist's rep, it's hard to make a decent living. I would welcome breaking the typecast and making some steady income.
