Ideal Position:
Over the years, I have come to realize that while there is no question about my desire to create attractive, innovative, and professional material, it is more important for me to work on a successful, professional, and upbeat team.
I want to be a part of that team, leading it would be great, but I can take direction as easily as I can give it.
Ideal Environment:
When we all have to ride unicycles from department to department, I'll be first in line with both of mine. Until then, I don't think it is too much to ask for a workplace where we work hard, respect each other, laugh at least a couple times a day, and aren't all wearing 3 pieces suits.
Past Experience:
After spending 8 years running the ad production of a daily newspaper, I left for a graphic design gig. After a few months, I found that I missed managing entire projects & moving them through the workflow. The last 10 years as Creative Services Manager is where I found my calling. I wore many hats to get the jobs done & keep the clients happy.
Currently:
I managed a staff of 7 plus freelancers and vendors creating effective in-store signage & marketing collateral for an international chain of over 950 discount stores.
Generating creative briefs from client meetings, conducting production meetings & keeping everyone on task.
Additional:
Wherever I go, I end up being the "go to guy". I have a knack for figuring out how to make things happen. Whether it is picking up a book or making a few phone calls, I am not afraid to jump in with both feet and handle a new situation.
I will bring many talents to the table, from IT to operations & production, I have experience across the board.
