Junior/mid-level Graphic Designer with Corporate and Agency Experience

Ideal Position:
My goal is to secure a full time position as a junior/mid-level graphic designer (heavy on print design with maybe some web design) in a creative and casual design agency. I really prefer to work in Chicago, but depending on the distance, I am not completely opposed to traveling to a nearby suburb.

Currently I am in a corporate environment with business/business casual attire. I would love to be in a more creative and casual environment. Most of all, I would like to work in a design team under a creative/art director instead of like my current environment where I am working under Marketing Managers and the Director of Marketing.

Past Experience:
In 2001 I had my first experience as a Graphic Artist for a small real estate firm in the suburbs. I designed all of the company’s marketing collateral. In 2007 I started doing my own freelance work in print & web design, and in 2008 I did a couple of contract assignments and a temp job as a junior designer, and then secured an internship w/ a corporate real estate agency downtown.

Currently:
As a junior design intern, I started by getting bits and pieces of projects passed down by the senior designer. My hard work has currently gained me more intensive projects. I am largely responsible for the design of a major development, with their autumn move-in materials (including water bottle label, brochures and various forms, t-shirts, etc).
