Paladin Houston Candidate
Communications Consultant
Available For:
All types of positions.
Ideal Position:
Marketing and employee communication are a comfortable married couple. They talk to each other, make each other better and – through the miracle of helping employees understand the company's business – the business gets tangible (and even intangible) results. I'd love to be a manager or even a happy, busy bee professional at this company.
Ideal Environment:
I like to work alone, and can do it for long periods when I have to, but I love working with a team to divide and deliver a strong solution to the business challenge at hand. What's ideal? An environment where reaching employees is considered as important as reaching customers – and where every leader believes in the value of communicating well.
Past Experience:
I have touched base with nearly every aspect of business communication: marketing and internal communication, creative services, advertising, public and community relations. I've had my own writing and consulting business. I've worked in banking, technical training, energy (oil, lubricants, chemicals). I’ve come to love doing PowerPoint’s.
Currently:
I was interim internal communication manager for a major global oil company, where I kept newsletters, posters, websites and leader communications humming. I built an intranet site to help managers improve their communication skills leader communications during go-live of major SAP implementation and documented the job for an appreciative predecessor.
Additional:
I'm currently improving my skills in Power Point, PhotoShop and getting the hang of social media and how it can serve a business need.
