Ideal Position:
My particular areas of expertise are developing and executing prototypes of Web content and applications, building interfaces and designs from scratch, developing and articulating design and marketing concepts and managing teams to execute the projects at different levels.
My ideal environment has to do more with the type of project and people I work with then it does the scale or reputation of the company. I've worked directly with many C-Level individuals as well as directors of not-for-profits. I enjoy working on intensive projects with a team as well as projects where I'm responsible for all of the deliverables.
Past Experience:
My background includes working for financial corporations as a Presentation Specialist and Manager, at design agencies as a Graphic Designer, Web Designer, and Art Director and as a Creative Director at a Litigation Consulting firm. Clients have included prominent brands in the automotive, financial services, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as well-respected law firms.
I really enjoy what I do, especially when I get to design (conceptualize) all the pieces of a project's puzzle and watch how all the pieces fit together. I'm proficient with knowing what is technically possible on the Web, in print, on a model or at an event - but I also enjoy pushing the limits of what is possible with great design.
Currently:
I was contracted to be the senior designer and interface designer for a social networking start up that launched in the fall of 2008. My role and impact included designing the consumer/member web site, the application (widget) interface, partner site wikis, the logo and branding, as well as content like the user persona and action icons.
