Ideal Position:
My ideal opportunity would be to apply the non-profit experience I gained in Atlanta to another industry in Dallas - preferably something involving the entertainment industry, athletics, children or a noble non-profit cause. I want to take on more responsibility in a leadership role where I can manage a team of people. I enjoy working in a generally laid-back environment. I like the idea of a smaller office setting with a team of hard-working, energetic people. As for working for a firm vs. a company, I am indifferent. I think they would both provide great experience for me at this juncture.
Past Experience:
I have gained invaluable experience in my time at an Atlanta-based Parish and School. These positions have served me well because I have had the opportunity to work in virtually every aspect of the PR/Marketing field - from writing press releases to photography, magazine editing, brand management, video production and more.
Currently:
My most recent big project was to provide publicity for a ministry summit weekend at the church. Three months before the event I developed a logo which we then used in all publicity efforts - e-newsletter announcements, fliers, posters and buttons. More then 150 people attended the event which was a huge success.
I am moving to Dallas from Atlanta with my boyfriend who is going to graduate school. We are moving August 1, so I am looking to start something as close to that date as possible.
