Ideal Position:
Ideally, I'm looking for a long-term position in which I can make a significant contribution using my creative and managerial talents. I'd like to find myself in a fast-paced, professional environment working with a highly creative team doing work that I can be proud of and that has a positive impact.
Ideal Environment:
My ideal environment is both casual and informal, one in which I can structure my time and my priorities in such a way as to work most efficiently. As well, I prefer being around other creative people, as I feel that true creativity is often the result of collaboration and teamwork.
Past Experience:
I've been a writer for more than 25 years, working on everything from catalog copy to press releases to proposals to direct mail. I've also handled media relations on the local, national, and international level. As well, I have one book published and two more in the works, in addition to a number of long-form magazine and journal articles.
Current:
I handled the marketing and publicity for the sale at auction of the original GI Joe prototype. I spearheaded this project from the beginning, first acquiring the piece for consignment, then creating and implementing the marketing plan to offer it for sale, and coordinating all the publicity and global media both before and after the auction.

I am a very diverse writer, with proven experience in a number of areas including proposal writing, advertising and marketing copywriting, press release and media coordination, long-form feature writing, technical and user documentation, academic writing, scriptwriting, editing, proofreading, and more.
