Ideal Position:
I am a public relations professional with a background that includes eight years of high-tech media relations experience, almost two years of teaching experience, a masters degree in mass communication, and a decade of experience in the petroleum industry. I seek a position with a stable organization that offers advancement opportunities.
Ideal Environment:
From dealing with a large range of clients, public relations professionals learn to adapt to different corporate cultures. I do seek, however, a stable working environment, an excellent management team, and the ability to advance within the company.
Past Experience:
On the agency side, I successfully managed clients from a variety of industries. On the corporate side, I was a PR manager for a telecomm carrier later acquired by a New York-based company. I've also taught mass communications courses at a local university and conducted qualitative research that targeted students from Muslim nations.
Currently:
I was recently employed as a university lecturer. In mid-semester 2008, a senior faculty member had a family emergency; the department chair asked me to take over his classes. Through stringent time management and organizational skills, I transitioned the students with minimal disruption. I was asked to stay on as a faculty member until May 2010.
